Kansai University, University of Fukui, Meijo University, and ArkEdge Space have jointly developed the ultra-small satellite "DENDEN-01," which is equipped with multiple energy technologies, including a new method for power temperature management.

The CubeSat "DENDEN-01," a 10 × 10 × 10 cm (1U size) satellite, was developed by a collaborative research group including Associate Professor Masaki Yamagata from the Faculty of Chemistry, Materials, and Bioengineering at Kansai University; Specially Appointed Associate Professor Kenei Aoyagi from the University of Fukui's Organization for University-Industry Collaboration; Associate Professor Kikuko Miyata from the Faculty of Science and Technology at Meijo University; and the company ArkEdge Space. The satellite was completed and handed over to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) at the Tsukuba Space Center on June 4, 2024.
