The CubeSat "DENDEN-01" has arrived at the International Space Station.

The launch and transportation of the ultra-small satellite "DENDEN-01," a 10 × 10 × 10 cm (1U size) satellite developed by a collaborative research group including Associate Professor Masaki Yamagata from the Faculty of Chemistry, Materials, and Bioengineering at Kansai University; Specially Appointed Associate Professor Kenei Aoyagi from the University of Fukui's Organization for University-Industry Collaboration; Associate Professor Kikuko Miyata from the Faculty of Science and Technology at Meijo University; and the company ArkEdge Space, have been successfully completed to the International Space Station (ISS).

DENDEN-01 was launched aboard NASA and SpaceX's Cargo Dragon, an unmanned supply ship, at 11:29 AM (JST) on Tuesday, November 5, from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA, via a Falcon 9 rocket. Later that day, it arrived at the International Space Station and docked at approximately 11:50 PM.

The satellite is scheduled to be deployed into space from the ISS in about a month, followed by initial operations and then the start of full-scale operations.
